STAXI-2™

Measures the experience, expression, and control of anger

State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory–2™

Comprehensively measure experience, expression, and control of anger in children, adolescents and adults with STAXI-2. It was developed to assess components of anger for a detailed personality evaluation, and measure how the components of anger contribute to certain medical conditions. With 57 items, STAXI-2 provides an overall measure of the expression and control of anger. The STAXI-2 C/A is a 35-item self-report measure for children and adolescents ages 9 to 18 years based on the adult version of the instrument, the STAXI-2.

Evaluate State Versus Trait Anger

STAXI-2 uniquely measures the expression of anger as having two components: state and trait anger. Like its parent version, the STAXI-2 C/A assesses both state and trait anger along with anger expression and control, allowing you to examine important dimensions that facilitate the evaluation of children with specific problem behaviors.

Both the STAXI-2 and STAXI-2 C/A distinguish temporary anger states from more trait-like or enduring conditions. The assessment enhances the ability to assess and diagnose the spectrum of conditions in which anger intensity as an emotional state is important (e.g., bipolar disorder, intermittent explosive disorder, reactive attachment disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder).
